P- Thanks to my buddy Matt for this brew!

A- An apricot orange color with a nice 2 finger fluffy head. Nice lacing on the pint as well.

S- pepper, malts, apples and grapes

F- sour grape mixed with peppery spice and hint of lemon

M- sour and thick bodied for a blonde. It felt chewy somewhat. More like a stout.

O- not a bad blonde and would def like more. the thickness is the only thing that detracts from it.

Presentation: Blast Furnace Blonde has a really nice eye-catching label with great graphics and colors. Label gives ABV info, a bit of brewery info, a small description and back story on the beer, and web info.

Appearance: Blast Furnace Blonde was semi-aggressively poured from its 12oz brown bottle into a 20oz English pint leading to a 1 finger white head of a light density atop a slightly hazy straw yellow beer. Head retention was a solid 1min 59sec before fading to a thin coating and ring with good lacing.

Smell/Aroma: BFB smells of slight sour apple and white grapes with a bit of a grainy yeasty aroma which overall is very light and refreshing.

Flavor/Taste: BFB has a grainy biscuit-like malt flavor on the front-end with a bit of earthy hops and light fruit. Mid-point has a grainy malt flavor with a light sweetness. Back-end has a light grainy maltiness and light fruit aspect with a slightly bitter aftertaste.

MouthFeel/Drinkability: Above average carbonation leads to a bit more of a full yet still medium bodied beer that is crisp and refreshing. Very Very drinkable.

Overall/Comments: I really really enjoyed BFB because of the extremely drinkable nature and sessionability of the offering. The flavor and the nose are spot on and make for a very refreshing brew. I would recommend trying this one out! Consumed 12/17/2013. Classified as an American Blonde Ale @ 5.5% ABV.

bottle poured into a pint glass.

The beer is a rich golden yellow in color with a head that builds and mostly disappears extremely fast. It does have a minor remnant of the head throughout the drinking process. The aroma is sweet and honey like with a little metallic twang to it. The beer's flavor is very smooth and sweet. There is a touch of bitterness at the end to balance it out a bit. The initial up front flavor is metallic and wet doggish and then blends into a nice creamy sweetness with hints of biscuits and fruits. The MF is rather usual and typical, it is smooth and light. This isn't a bad beer, but not one of my favorite styles either. This is a light and easy drinking brew suitable for anytime of the year.

A 650 mL bottle from Vintage Estates.

A: The blonde ale is golden blonde, radiant and crystal clear. The swirling pour generated a wispy head, nothing too sizeable. As the carbonation settles out, the head disappears completely.

S: The nose is subdued, soft and light. Light fleshy fruits, apples and grapes, are yeasty effects, paired nicely with a biscuity grain aroma.

T: A little musty at first, the ale stresses drinkability. The light bisctuity notes from the nose continue here, nearly nonexistent at first. The fruits are soft, a diversionary flavor. The entire package is restrained, never rising above a mild sweetness. Light citrus, barely registering, add some strength. Carbonation adds bite to the ale. The flavor is okay, nothing spectacular.

M: A good mouthfeel, light with a surge of carbonation. Expect no frills and you'll be pleased.

Grabbed a 12oz bottle at my local Carnivores.

A - Well for a blond it is rather hazy with a nice amber brown tint and a slight bit of head turns to a light lace ring.

S - Smells of a nice blond with some orange zest and slight hops.

T - Ow wow this one has a nice hint of wheat which I am not used to for the style with a nice bit of orange zest in the mix and a bit of hops.

M - As far as blonds go this on is very tasty and drinkable.

Overall these are not really something I grab often but this one is very good. Worth checking out if you like the style

Pours a hazy yellow-ish color with a white head. In the aroma, orange citrus stands out. In the taste, cinnamon spice and a semi dry maltiness. A small bite and medium to light bodied mouthfeel, with a semi dry, small orange citrus in the aftertaste. Standard blonde with nice orange citrus and spices.

Pours a light gold color with a one finger bright white head that resedes to skim with spotty lacing. The aroma is of caramel malt and citrus, very faint. The taste is of sweet malt and caramel malt for the backbone. Hints of citrus come over the top to round out. The mouthfeel is very carbonated. Overall its a solid beer, nice backbone with enough citrus to make it interesting. You could have a couple but not a lot before you got bored.

At Mad Mex Robinson last night, we had this on tap. It was a pale golden with a bright white head scattered lacing all around. Aroma was dull semi sweet grain notes herbal hops nothing stands out a bit of a metallic finish. Favlro was bland light toasted malt crisp clean with herbal hops, a distinctively boring beer aimed at the masses. At least make a helles or something with some character, this guy used to brew with Penn what gives? Mouthfeel is light bodied carbonation is sturdy maybe even a little too much on the CO2. Drinkability was okay just uninspiring flavor wise, I wouldn't drink it again but it was halff off during happy hour so I figured I would give it a try.

Salute

Tony

Draft at Fathead's

A-golden yellow color with a thin white head leaving no lace
S-light sweet caramel malt with a hint of citrus, the smell is not too strong; but it isn't bad
T/M-a medium body, smooth and crisp, with a sweet caramel malt taste up front, blanced, with a hit of citrus following the malt
D-very drinkable, it would be a solid session lager, alcohol content wasn't avaible but i assume it is low which would make it perfect to sess out with.
