Had on tap at Sticks and Stones tonight.Poured into a Fat Tire goblet an orange tinged lighter golden with tightly formed half finger white head atop.Aromas of grapefruit rind and leafy hops over top of a sweet biscuit malt base.Fresh grapefruit and lemony hops hit nicely upfront on the palate with underlying leafy "greeness",a biscuit malt base lends mild sweetness and breadiness underneath.I like the fruitiness from the hops here,I could have drank alot of this tonight.

Poured a nice clear amber with a one finger white head that receded and left a bit of lacing down the glass. A nice American IPA look, very true to form. Scents of citrus pith, pine, grapefruit, toasty and grainy malts and some faint caramel, all mingled with that earthy, dirty New Belgium yeast. A nice hop bomb West Coast IPA nose, but taken down a little by that earthy yeast that does most IPAs no favors. The taste follows the aroma. Citrus pith, bitter pine resin upfront, with floral hops on the finish and aftertaste, melding with a plain bitter flavor. As the beer warms it gets a bit sweeter and maltier, with caramel malt flavors coming out. The hop profile shifts to being entirely dominated by citrus pith and floral hops. Earthy flavors from the yeast are present throughout, no matter the temperature, though they don't detract too much. It's not bad. Mouthfeel is medium-light bodied with moderate carbonation and a semi-drying finish. Pretty on point for an IPA, though maybe a bit more drying than usual. Easy to drink though. Overall this is a pretty good American IPA. It has the strong West Coast hop profile I enjoy, balances it with malt decently, but is brought down slightly by that earthy yeast. It just doesn't work in beers like this one.

Pours a clean, golden amber, with a thick head of white foam. Beautiful lace.

Nose is sweet, green hops -- very floral, rather than the usual citrus or pine.

Taste is very "green", as in grassy and earthy. I can relate to almost a bitter green tea somehow. Drinks very easily, with a medium to light body, but with plenty of bold hops goodness.

Well tasty and worthy. And at under $5 per bomber, a grand value. Kudos to NB for their reasonably-priced, approachable Hop Kitchen series.

Pours out a clear apricot with a thin, white head. The aroma is really faint for what it is. Light touch of tropical fruit hops. Malt is subtle with a touch of New Belgium house yeast aroma. Flavor has light, crackery malts, and big tropical fruit from the hops. Mango and pineapple. Moderate bitterness and sweetness. New Belgium house taste isn't too overpowering. Mouthfeel isn't overbearingly heavy. Nice, prickly carbonation. Pretty solid beer overall.

Clear golden amber with as much long lasting white head as you want. Lots of tight fine bubble lacing.
Smell is pungent floral hops with a touch of pine. Really big aroma.
Taste is big blast of bitter piney hops. Not much malt support to hide the alcohol or tame the bitterness. Further tasting yields a richer deeper hop flavor. Not really a tongue wrecker but close.
Mouthfeel is good with proper carbonation and bitter slightly wet finish.
Overall a big hop showcase. I think this one was very fresh. The enjoy by date says 23 Feb. 2014. I might actually enjoy this one more after a month or so. Well recommended for hop worshipers!

Picked up tonight at the COOP for $4ish... Poured into my HotD goblet .. nice long lasting off white head.. the brew is clear dark golden.

Nose is a big hoppy mash-up... hay/grassy and something spicy... pithy citrus...

Flavor is earthy NB toasty maltiness... that malt combines well with the grassy hops.. some background grapefruity bitterness helps balance the overall picture.

Good body and carbonation.. could use more bitterness from front to back.

Don't hate on this one... Just get it sooner than later... The Fresh-Hoppiness will go away quickly.
