Brief write-up. A boring dubbel, plain and simple. I don't know what schisandra is, and after drinking this...I still don't. The basics of the style are nailed, but that's it. Not bad; not good. It just kind of is.

The beer pours a very dark brown, with amber colors around the edge. Nice khaki colored head with good lacing.
Smells malty and yeasty. Slight smell of bananas as well as some floral notes
Tastes like it smells. Malty sweet, but not over the top. Some floral taste, no hops to speak of. Also a slight salty flavor. Not overtly present, but still there. Good herbal flavor as well. Herbs and spice on the finish.
Mouthfeel is light, without much carbonation. Smooth and easy to drink.
Overall a good dubbel, but I definitely get more of an herbal/floral taste than with others of the same style.
