Poured from a 12oz bottle into a tulip, stamped with a drink by date of 19OCT14.

A: Body is a medium amber color, generally clear with a few bits of something at the bottom of the tulip. Really active carbonation. Pours out a frothy head, that recedes to a nice merengue like layer on the surface, good retention. Lots of lace.

S: Typical triple, belgian yeasts for a lemony citrus and peppercorns. Some maltiness as well. Coriander...it says it on the bottle, and it is noticeable, but not overpowering.

T: Belgian yeast spice right in the front. Citrus, apples, pears, and pepper as well. But, then it gets interesting. Coriander, pepper and some other spices are coming through. It's like they dumped my wives spice rack in this...again, not overpowering, but its there and its noticeable, and it seems misplaced a bit.
leads the brew off which has a pretty big lemon zest citrus and apple/pear fruitiness which melds well with the spicy flavors. Peppercorn, sage, coriander, cardamom and general cooking herb feel. Apple and pear fruit esters. Just a bit of balancing hops and a light hint of grains.

M: Light body with lots of carbonation. Silky smooth feel. Finishes with a crisp dryness.

O: Seems to have a lot of the standard flavors you'd expect in a trippel. The coriander and other yeast spiciness are more pronounced than a typical trippel. Lends a certain uniqueness to this beer. The beer drinks easily and comfortably, especially the nice crisp, dry finish after the complexity of flavors that come out in the body.

Appearance:
Deep golden hay body is clear with a bit of fine sediment in suspension. a Decent white head with okay retention and little to no lacing.

Aroma:
Bold and sweet. Blast of spice hits the nose right away along with plenty of Belgian yeast character and esters. Earthy hops. A hint of hay and sweet corn, polished of by coriander and a spot of lavender.

Taste:
Follows the nose well, with a healthy dose of earthy hops right up front with honey and coriander playing supporting roles. An almost sour yeast ester is present with some light pepper. Finishes with a noticeable amount of alcohol.

Mouthfeel:
A fairly heavy body for the style and moderate carbonation. Semi-sweet finish.

Overall:
A solid beer, although a bit too heavy for style. Great flavor and well worth trying, just don't expect it to be a good companion for a hot day.

A: poured into a snifter to a pale orange that's almost yellow topped by a small white head that is quick to fade
S: smells of corriander and fruity esters
T: taste is spicy yeast, corriander, fruity esters, some honey sweetness and cracker malt flavor. swallow is a whirlwind of flavors with more fruity esters, spices, slight alcohol, and pale malt
M: this beer sits at the lighter side of medium with abundant and prickly carbonation and a drying finish
O: New Belgium has always done pretty well with the belgian styles and this beer is no exception. this beer has great flavors and solid balance

Coriander and spices in the smell and taste. Good color. Clear and perfect golden clear. Not much of a fan of trippels yet. Reminds me again of ciders or champagne , dry after taste. No alcohol taste what so ever, which is good. almost has a sticky mouth feel. after a couple sips now I get an alcohol warming sensation. Nothing really Popping out for me though. This beer would be good at a campfire or fireside , sharing it with somebody, maybe your dog or who ever.
