Appearance: Poured into a chalice, as is the expected way to drink a belgian style ale. It was a nice golden color, very clear with a slight cloudiness. The head was decent and disappeared quickly leaving some nice lacing behind.

Smell: Hints of the coriander are noticeable, slightly sweet with a little bit of hop bitterness to back it up. The aroma is very well balanced, there is nothing that jumps out at you like in some belgian ales, very refined while still retaining characteristics of a good body.

Taste: The coriander is upfront again, followed by the signature feel of a good belgian ale. Fairly crisp and very flavorful, nothing really jumps out at you, as with the smell the taste is very well balanced. Any flavors that do jump out are not very intrusive and are well supported, the coriander is a good example of a flavor that is certainly distinguishable, but not standing up on its own.

Mouthfeel: Excellent carbonation, the body of the beer swell in the mouth and slightly bitters after a while. As with all the other aspects, the mouthfeel is quite balanced.

Overall: This is not a very powerful belgian style ale, in fact there is almost nothing about it that can put you off. It is not trying to be a powerful bruit set up for a meal of steak and potatoes, it is an ale that can be sipped on its own and leave you with no disappointment. I certainly see it worthwhile buying a six-pack.

Appearance:
Deep golden hay body is clear with a bit of fine sediment in suspension. a Decent white head with okay retention and little to no lacing.

Aroma:
Bold and sweet. Blast of spice hits the nose right away along with plenty of Belgian yeast character and esters. Earthy hops. A hint of hay and sweet corn, polished of by coriander and a spot of lavender.

Taste:
Follows the nose well, with a healthy dose of earthy hops right up front with honey and coriander playing supporting roles. An almost sour yeast ester is present with some light pepper. Finishes with a noticeable amount of alcohol.

Mouthfeel:
A fairly heavy body for the style and moderate carbonation. Semi-sweet finish.

Overall:
A solid beer, although a bit too heavy for style. Great flavor and well worth trying, just don't expect it to be a good companion for a hot day.

A: poured into a snifter to a pale orange that's almost yellow topped by a small white head that is quick to fade
S: smells of corriander and fruity esters
T: taste is spicy yeast, corriander, fruity esters, some honey sweetness and cracker malt flavor. swallow is a whirlwind of flavors with more fruity esters, spices, slight alcohol, and pale malt
M: this beer sits at the lighter side of medium with abundant and prickly carbonation and a drying finish
O: New Belgium has always done pretty well with the belgian styles and this beer is no exception. this beer has great flavors and solid balance

Coriander and spices in the smell and taste. Good color. Clear and perfect golden clear. Not much of a fan of trippels yet. Reminds me again of ciders or champagne , dry after taste. No alcohol taste what so ever, which is good. almost has a sticky mouth feel. after a couple sips now I get an alcohol warming sensation. Nothing really Popping out for me though. This beer would be good at a campfire or fireside , sharing it with somebody, maybe your dog or who ever.
