Don't get much New Belgium stuff in NY so I'm always eager to give some of their brews a shot while traveling. On my latest trip I found myself in Texas with a co-worker. I bought a six of the Wit and he the Trippel so we split them.
A- Pours very clear and golden almost the appearance of a lager.
S - Nose is a little stuffy, I do catch the faint of Coariander along with a slight whiff of something sweet.
T - A pretty decent Trippel. I personally prefer the Belgian brewed Trippels but have no gripes about this home grown brew.
D - Doesn't go down like a 7.8% ABV brew. Very smooth.
M - A good American Trippel. New Belgium does yet another good job with this brew.
Big fan of this brewery. Hoping to try some more before I depart TX.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a Shaker pint glass.
APPEARANCE: pours a clear straw color with slightly higher amount of carbonation, two finger head that dissipated quickly and left a thin layer of bubbles that lasted throughout, there was some lacing present.
SMELL: molasses, pears, banana and the Coriander spice really dominates with some Belgian funk.
TASTE: the taste follows the nose, it's initially sweet molasses with some spice and funky Belgian bread then some lingering hops, the alcohol 7.8% is perceptible but well disguised.
PALATE: full bodied with higher carbonation.
OVERALL: this is a very good beer and reasonably priced, it's not the best I've had for the style but for the price I would not hesitate to buy again.
