Poured from 12 oz. bottle into a New Belgium Globe glass.

Appearance: Pours a bright and clear golden copper orange with lots of bubbles. About two fingers of white head that quickly fade into a thin patchy layer. Decent lacing on the glass.

Smell: Some Belgian yeast and cloves along with some hints of banana, coriander, and candied sugar. Sweet malts along with some subtle hints of fruits including lemon, peach, and passion fruit. Also some grassy hops in the background. Smell is on the sweeter side of Tripels.

Taste: Sweet bready pale malts along with some strains of Belgian yeast. Hints of cloves, coriander, banana and candied sugar. Some notes of lemon, orange, passion fruit, and peach. Hints of grassy hops towards the finish. Somewhat herbal. Bready and sweet for a Tripel.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a medium to high level of carbonation. Sweet and somewhat syrupy. Very smooth with no heat from the alcohol.

Overall: This is a pretty good Belgian inspired ale. A little too sweet and malty to be a true tripel. Could of used a little more yeasty funk, but what is here tastes good.

The pour was nice. It left a decent head with a white bubbly film around the rim for 2 minutes. The color was a pale, golden orange. Pleasant carbonation. I used a standard pint glass, which may not be the proper glass, but it still worked. The appearance was a bit hazy/cloudy.The smell was sweet and caramel, with hints of spicy banana syrup. The consistency was slightly syrupy/sticky on my palate. The aftertaste had hints of banana, spice, and bubblegum. It complements pineapple and bell pepper pizza quite nicely.

I have had only a few beers from Belgium. This seems to be a good variation of the style, I think. They do an excellent job creating fine products.

It is very drinkable. If you like Belgium beer, you will like this one.

Pours a pale golden color that has a faint orange hue. One fingers worth of white head. The head falls to a rocky top that leaves sheets of lacing.

It has a medicinal aroma with hints of plastic, bubblegum, banana, and spice. As it warms there are hints of peach, and over ripened papaya.

It has a grassy / herbal flavor with a bit of a bite. The phenolic aroma robs from the delicate flavor.

Medium body, scrubbing carbonation, it starts hot and finishes cool.

Not bad, not great. The medicinal / plastic aroma take away from the good points.

Poured from bottle into glass. As much head as you want, based on the pour, and it sticks around and to the glass.

I'm not drinking this side-by-side another Belgian, but it seems easier to drink. Seems lighter (7.8%) at least by taste.

Super carbonated and relatively easy to drink. It tastes complex, even if I don't know what I mean by that.

Would recommend, especially for the price. (I paid $10 for a 6er).
