Appearance - A yellow golden wheat color, very little head formation with just a little lacing left on the top as sipped.

Smell - Little bit of sweet smell from the malts with a bit of the hops coming through. Detecting a bit of banana coming from the glass as well.

Taste - Hop bitterness up front with a bit of the alcohol/(maybe coriander, not a spice I'm all that familiar with) upfront. Next it mellows out with a nice smooth malt coming through, again getting a bit of banana really. Leaves a bitter taste on the tongue for me.

Mouthfeel - Some carbonation which gives it a little body. Leaves a dry feeling in my mouth after not sipping making me keep drinking.

Overall a decent beer but either the style or the beer just isn't up my alley for another go any time soon.

A: Great golden translucent hue and good lacing on glass

S: Sweet but not too sweet hints of peach and banana.

T: Same as smell, sweet but not too sweet with hints of fruit like a peach and plantain (more gentle than banana). there is a bit of a zing at the end of a drink sort of like a pepper spice. not as complex or exciting as other triples such as Chimay Cinque Cents but not bad either.

M: Can taste the carbonation which isn't idle IMHO for a belgium style Triple

O: Definitely better than average but not something that I will search out if i want a triple given the other amazing belgium triples.

Poured this Tripel from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. This brew poured a golden color, clear, produced nice white frothy head, lacing was off the charts. The aroma consisted of fruity peach and a slight hint of spicy coriander. Medium in body, this ale was smooth and crisp, light malted grain, taste of floral herbs, fruity peach and some hop bitterness. Not sure if this a "beginners" Tripel, but this is an excellent tasting brew! Prost!

Hazy banana yellow color with a white head. Sweet aroma, a mix of fruity esters / spice from the yeast and sugary bread from the malt, no real hops to speak of. Sweet malty flavor smooths over the warming alcohol notes, there are some nice esters here, banana maybe. There is a nice balance between the bitterness and the body. A good tripel.

A: It looks perfect for a tripel...great golden color, very transparent, with a thick foamy white head that laces perfectly with every drink.

S: I pick up some noble hops and coriander spice. Very little scent.

T: The taste is very light. It has light notes of caramel, some hints of coriander, and very light Belgian yeast character, some banana. It's not bad, but I wish there was more character to the beer. It is extremely subdued.

M: The mouthfeel is very light, being grounded only by faint bitterness. It has a fairly wet finish.

O: It's not the best tripel I've had, but it is certainly good that I can pick this up at a grocery store. It lacks a lot of character, and is outdone by many other tripels. If I were at the grocery store, I'd grab a sixer. If I was at a bottle shop, I would breeze right past it.
