Served in Imperial Pint at Old Mill. Thanks Dave.
What makes this nice is the more aggressive yet balanced malt character. Getting closer to an English or Belgian ale, but not quite that big, as this is still hop forward. Still a crunchy malt that was enjoyable on a cold day. Pretty standard, but nicely done hopping. Firm, but in no way excessive bitterness with a well rounded hop flavors. Soft and moderately full. Attractive with pale amber color and nice white head.
This went well with chicken and pecan salad.

Best by 4/13/14.
Pours a clear copper with a foamy orange-tan head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Foamy patches of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, earth, floral, citrus zest, and herbal hop aromas. Taste is much the same with malt, floral, and herbal hop flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a nice earthy hop presence all around.
