On tap at River of Beers. Served in a snifter.

Appearance - Deep reddish amber. Medium off white head.

Smell - Oak is strong. Whiskey comes through with lots of vanilla. Deep cherry acidity. Slightly vinegary.

Taste - Sour cherry. Strong oak. Less whiskey, but it comes through in the finish. Malty in the middle. A bit yogurty in the finish, too.

Mouthfeel - Medium body. Moderately sour.

Overall - This is delicious. The whiskey is subtle, but tempers the sourness a bit.

had on draft at Busy Bee Cafe, Raleigh, NC. Nice dark sour. NB Oscar base then aged w/funk in a Blackberry Bourbon Barrell from Leopolds. Nice carbonation. Draft system was a little iffy so there was quite a bit of head that dissipatted nicely to a thin film. Blackberry notes are nice and lead way to a very oaky finish with a mild tart acidic bite on the tongue. Would definitely have again AND again.
