Appearance: pours a brownish red. looks brownish with garnet hues. a small tannish head that fades quickly to a lacing on the sides
Smell: raspberry first and the strongest. weaker nutty/ chocolate malts are there but quite hidden
Taste: opens up with raspberries, sweet and just a touch on the tart side. followed up by some slightly chocolatey and nutty malts. the malt is quite light in the taste. raspberry come off a bit too strong
Mouthfeel: fairly syrupy. otherwise a bit sweet.
Overall: Like a few of new belgium beers, I love the idea but it doesn't fall quite where i want it.
Serving type: bottle
