Appearance: Pours a garnet reddish brown with two fingers bubbly off-white head. Head dissipates quickly but leaves lacing behind.
Smell:Tart raspberries, breadiness, cocoa.
Taste: Watered down raspberries, slight tartness. Not much chocolate which really came out in past versions balancing the tartness. That is not here in this years version but the tartness is not nearly as strong this year either.
Mouthfeel: Kind of watery, really takes away from the beer.
Kind of disappointed with this years frambozen. Had it the past two winters and it was excellent both times. Seems to be watered down this year. Nonetheless it is still easy drinking and has been growing on me the more i drink it. Just doesn't stack up with the previous years this beer was released.
