Poured from a 12 oz bottle into my Chimay goblet. Looks good. Beautiful reddish copper color and decent size slightly frothy head. THe head hangs in there better than most Belgians and leaves a filmy lacing on the sides of the glass.
Smell is average/slightly better than average. Sweet malts, not much complexity.
Tastes pretty good. The sweet malts are the main feature but there is a bit of alcohol bite and some mild hoppiness in the finish.
Mouthfeel is a bit light for a Belgian style beer, but the overall effect is crisp and smooth. Very drinkable.
Dubble has never been one of my favorite Belgian styles but this one is comparable to most Dubbels. Worth seeking out!!!
