Pours out a nice creamy head (about two and a half finger). Creates some nice thin lacing around the glass as I take a sip. Deep brown/ amber color. Looks great when you hold it up to a light which really highlights the rich dark amber colors.
The aroma is a mixture of ripe fruit, breads, and a hint of alcohol sweetness.
The first flavor to hit the palate is ripe fruit. Raisins seem to come to mind even dates. Malt, banana nut bread, yeast, and a dry finish with a hint of hop bitterness.
A creamy medium body that is very easy to just sit back and enjoy the flavor.
A great interpretation of an Abbey Dubbel from an American brewery! Well done! The New Belgium Brewery has really done justice to this style of ale!
Can I have another?!!!
