Appearance: Poured into a new belgium globe. Best by date is ovtober 2014. Pours a deep amber red. With a thick, lumpy two finger head that continues to slowly build from the bottom. Lots of carbonation visible if you look closely. Tons of lacing sticking on the glass.
Smell: Strong belgian yeast aroma. Bananas, phenolic, spices, clove. Very nice.
Taste: Bananas, clove, belgian spices and a touch of alcohol come together nicely.
Mouthfeel: Quite a bit of carbonation but body is a bit thin.
Overall, one of my favorite year round offerings from new belgium.
