A - Ruby brown, and a bit lighter than expected. Decent offwhite head and thin lace.
S - Sweet roasted malt and lots of dark fruit. Some spice and yeast.
T - Quite fruity - mainly raisin, dried cherry and fig, but also ripe banana, especially in the aftertaste. Some brown sugar sweetness with a touch of burnt caramel. Bready and spicy (clove) as well, and a bit of floral hops for bitterness. Complex.
M - Heavy body and thick. Moderate in carbonation, this leaves a nice creamy feel on the palate.
D - Great beer for the price, and smelled and tasted a lot better than it looked. Color me impressed.
