Pours almost clear caramel with a lively/fluffy white head , Very good head retention and impressive lacing
Smell: Yeast, mustiness, malt faint hint of phenoylic (sp) tones
Taste: Fruitiness/yeastiness, woody taste more like popsicle stick than oakiness. Some choclate notes also noticed up front with appreciable dryness and plum-like notes. Slight sourness, alcohol & dryness come through in the finish.
MF: Chewy enough with a effervesicent (sp?) presence that helps bring out the beer subtleness
Drinkable for its sytle, which I enjoy, but not a session quaffer to me. Holds its own with its oldworld brothers/cousins
Serving type: bottle
