A: Poured from a bottle to a tulip glass. Had a black color - ruby when held up to the light - and a thick consistency. There was a somewhat small amount of head and good lacing.
S: Smelled of malt, fruit and an almost nutty quality.
T: Tasted of roasted malt, chocolate, a little bit of apples and that nutty quality. A decently done, complex flavor.
M: A well-carbonated beer with a smooth finish. Medium- to heavy-bodied.
D: A drinkable American version of a Belgian Dark Ale.
