12oz bottle drank from the new belgium globe glass.
A- this one pours out a very dark brown colored body with slight ruby red highlights around the edges. a small khaki colored head forms. good retention. spotty lacing is left behind.
S- roasted malts are the first thing that i notice. after that comes caramel and a slight fruitiness. cherry and plum. maybe a little bit of fig. chocolate and coffee finish this one off.
T- the taste starts out with a surprising amount of roasted malts. after that theres some burnt caramel and the fruits i could smell. figs, cherries, and dates. a little bit of chocolate in the middle, and a decent amount of coffee at the end.
M- medium to full bodied with a nice level of carbonation. goes down easy.
D- this one is a little different. almost like a light belgian stout. very drinkable with an almost sessionable ABV. i liked this one more than i expected to.
