22 oz. bomber into a tulip glass
Pours a deep mahogany color with some nice ruby coloring behind a light. A one inch cream colored head forms on top and is retained as a skim throughout. Moderate lacing left on the glass.
Aroma is very mild but there are some light caramel notes, a bit of a fruit character that doesn't say much, and a slight vinous note.
Taste is sweet and caramelly up front with a mild fruit character in the middle with some lighter roasty notes of chocolate and very lightly roasted coffee into the finish.
Mouthfeel is meidum bodied, quite smooth and creamy with a good amount of carbonation.
I thought this brew was quite good. I didn't expect much after the weak aroma so the taste kind of blew me away at first. Very nice session beer and I await the arrival of New Belgium in Indiana.
