Poured from the bottle into an oversized wine goblet. Sure why not let us be decadent shall we.
Appearance for the head shows, a very whipped up like light caramel brown, creamy bubble consistency siting on a dark walnut brown/black body. Some scattered small lacing maintained from a small collar and good staying puck. Pretty good looking.
Nose is a dark like toast malt kind of mind smell. Behind it is a very faint send of hazelnut. Almost smells like a brown ale.
Watery palete mixing with nut tastes. Slightly bitter hop finish after some time on the swallow, bringing a strange dryness as well almost tannic in feel. Carbonation is moderate but noticeable, further sips bring more of a Nutella chocolate sweet sense to it. Somewhat wet as well. This is Nutty like a brown ale.
Overall it is fairly tasty with some easily enjoyable qualities, but it feels and tastes like an American brown ale rather than a Belgian style beer. This doesn't feel taste or smell Belgian style at all.

A: poured into a tulip to a blackness with a finger of dense and slightly rocky tan head that is quick to fade and leaves some lacing
S: smells of roasted malts with some chocolate notes and a bit of spice
T: taste is somewhat light with some good roastyness and chocolate with some spice notes. Swallow is more roasted malt , chocolate and a slight lingering bitterness.
M: the beer is medium on the mouth with apparent but not overpowering carbonation and a slightly drying finish
O: Not a bad beer at all. It isn't extremely heavy and has good flavors which make it surprisingly sessionable. It would be nice if they made a one off Imperial/Double version of this to make things shine a little brighter
