2011 vintage. Beer pours a dark reddish brown with a thin off white head. Sour aromas with oak, vanilla and a bit of cherry. Moderately sour with a rich fruit flavor. A bit of astringency from the oak. Nicely carbonated and overall a very refreshing palate cleansing beer with a great deal of complexity. I would like to see what an older vintage tastes like.

Served on tap in a 11oz. goblet.
A- Deep garnet with a light toffee head, good degree of clarity.
S- Sour apple, light vinegar, some oak, maybe a bit of spice and vanilla.
T- More sour apple than anything, then some light vinegar, some oak, finishes dry. Not as complex as Le Terrior IMO.
M- Medium a bit more carbonation then I was expecting.
O- A great American version of the style and one of the best beers I've had from New Belgium. Definitely give this one a try.
