Appearance: Served on tap with a red color and a light ring of a head around the top of the glass. There is a slight orange tint when backlit.
Smell: The aroma is very rich with notes of cinnamon, cherry, candy sugar, dry grape, and a bit of soy sauce. Very complex but well balanced and appealing.
Taste: Tart to begin with causing slight puckering. The beer is malty and from that a nice sweetness develops evenly in the mouth. There's just a slight bit of smoky flavor with some sourness and some fluffy, floral, and fruity notes tasting mostly like apple and cranberry.
Mouthfeel: Puckering but sweet make it a pleasant beer on a warm afternoon.
Drinkability: All around it is a good beer that I would gladly enjoy again. The tartness is pleasant and I am usually not a fan of tart beers. Very well done.
Serving type: on-tap
