2007 vintage. Last of my bottles from '07 DLD.
Poured into my Brooklyn chalice.
Big carbonation pop when the cork was pulled. Decent off white head crowding the top of my glass. Murky reddish brown body.
Nose of sour apples, vinegar tartness and barnyard funk. Not much else is getting past that. Some wood, but muted. Maybe because it's a 3+ year old bottle.
Tart and oakey on the tongue. Like crab apples, but sweeter. Quite acidic and very dry. Complex.
Medium mouthfeel. Tough to get a 750 down, even split 2 ways. Still a great beer, but 10 oz is enough for one sitting.

Served on tap in a 11oz. goblet.
A- Deep garnet with a light toffee head, good degree of clarity.
S- Sour apple, light vinegar, some oak, maybe a bit of spice and vanilla.
T- More sour apple than anything, then some light vinegar, some oak, finishes dry. Not as complex as Le Terrior IMO.
M- Medium a bit more carbonation then I was expecting.
O- A great American version of the style and one of the best beers I've had from New Belgium. Definitely give this one a try.
