Fills the glass with a dark and rich mahogany ride. A bit of a tan colored head forms but dissipates rather quickly. Intense sweet and sour aromas hit you right up front. Nutty and caramel malty notes pair well with the cherry and vinegar-like sour aromas.
Well balanced on the palate with a nice layer or rich and sweet malty flavors pairing up with the slightly woody and perfectly tart flavors that make this truly 'Flanders-style'. Notes of toffee and caramel give way to cherry and cidery sour notes.
Mouthfeel is bubbly and medium bodied but nothing too exceptional. Overall, an absolutely excellent representation of the Fladers-red/bruin styles. Not overly sour or vinegary but just tart enough to get your tastebuds excited.
