Nice ruby red color with a two finger white head that drops quickly. A few splotches of lace but the real high point of the appearance is the crystal clear color. Smell is sour with some wood notes. Smell is nice but dosn't punch with the fruit notes I was expecting. Now the taste is a different story, there's the sour fruits. As it warms the oak shows itself with subtle notes. Very bright mouth with lots of carbonation and the sour to pucker your lips a little. Overall this beer is excellent. I can understand why some would discount this one and say they don't like it, but for anyone with a sense of adventure this is a must try. Compares favorably to the best sours I've ever had. I will have this one every chance I get.
