Was given a bottle of 2010 La Folie for my birthday. Just opened it up, heres the review
Appearance: Dark letting almost no light through. Slightly cloudy. One finger worth of carmel coffee head.
Aroma: Delicious smell – apples and cherry. Subtle hints of malts in the background.
Taste: Amazing – Tastes like beer candy – sour apple jolly rancher. Sourness and sweetness. Slight bitterness with the sourness in to finish.
Palette: Light on the palette, super smooth with almost no carbonation. Sticky finish.
Overall: Great beer! If I had it without being told it was a beer I wouldn’t know what I was drinking. This beer proves that simplicity can win through – hands down, an amazing beer.

Served on tap in a 11oz. goblet.
A- Deep garnet with a light toffee head, good degree of clarity.
S- Sour apple, light vinegar, some oak, maybe a bit of spice and vanilla.
T- More sour apple than anything, then some light vinegar, some oak, finishes dry. Not as complex as Le Terrior IMO.
M- Medium a bit more carbonation then I was expecting.
O- A great American version of the style and one of the best beers I've had from New Belgium. Definitely give this one a try.
