This is a style I'm starting to grow into.
Poured a brownish-amber with a nice head. Dots of lacing clung to the glass when swirled.
Aroma of sour cider vinegar. Not much sweetness.
Tastes of tart apple, cider vinegar, just slightly sweet. Not as sweet as a Rodenbacher Red. Maybe a slight oakiness as well?
A dry finish and definite palate cleanser.
Overall, this was a solid brew. Fairly expensive at over $20 a bottle. Recommended if you are a fan of sour ales.
