2010 Lips of Faith bomber version into my Captain Lawrence tulip. Big thanks to gawnphishin for tossing this 'want' in as an extra.
A - Pours a dark reddish brown, almost plum-like. A very small bubbly head forms, but quickly fades after the pour. Carbonation appears medium. No visible lacing.
S - Very complex with many aromas coming through. Acetic undertones with aromas of dark/sweet fruits, oak, and a hint of vanilla.
T - Mouth-puckering lactic sourness. Tart cherries and other dark fruits, possibly raisins. A dry oakiness and other woody characteristics come through on the finish. There's a light grape sweetness that reminds me of a white wine.
M - Light mouthfeel and well carbonated. The mouthfeel is dry and acidic. Very crisp.
D - The drinkability here is high. Maybe a little sour for some, but fans of the style or other "sour" styles will appreciate this one. Will definitely seek out again.
