bomber into a snifter
a-deep orange with a nice white head that floats on top for a while...the bubbles are there but not over the top...
s-caught me off guard...u can really smell the sweet and dank amarillo hops and the citrus from both amarillo and cascade from the dry hopping...really surprised this stood out in a wild ale...the funk is here with the acidity...
t-semi sweet grain starts this off then follows with the twang...the sourness and the wood take over the middle...with a little acidity....the funk is def there seems this is very brett forward with a good amount of must to even out the sour...finishes extremely dry..
m-thin but i imagine that is from the maturation in the wood...the carbonation is perfect and the acidity doesnt wreck my palate or my stomach....very very dry ....
o-a very good sour...far superior to last years la folie....but not on par with erics ale....quite pleased with it...will go back for more..

A: poured from the bottle into a tulip to a nice golden orange with a dense finger and a half white head that slowly fades
S: smells intensely of the dry hops with bits of pine, citrus and some earthyness
T: starts off with a hint of tartness followed by some piney, resinous and earthy hops. Slight oakyness from the beer as well sweetness tries to come out but the hops and tartness keep it at bay. Swallow is a huge smack of acetic sourness, with some funk, citrus and oak. The sourness comes out a bit more in the following drinks but that dry hopping is still very forward.
M: Lighter side of medium in the mouth with soft but apparent carbonation. It has a semi slick feel in the mouth and a drying finish
O: I don't know who thought to dry hop a sour but it works and it works very well. This is a phenomenal beer.
