A: Pours a clear medium-dark amber color with a bubbly, creamy head. Leaves a good amount of lacing on the glass.
S: Smells sort of like Fat Tire. Lots of bready malts, but a little sweeter, with a little bit of spice but nothing overtly "wintery," thankfully.
T: Mild bitter hops balanced really well with sweet nutty malts. A little bit of alcohol comes through in the finish.
M: Medium body. Carbonation is good and stays around for quite a while. I generally don't like this much of it, but it's good here.
D: This is probably one of New Belgium's best beers. While it probably wouldn't be great for a session beer at 6.6% ABV, it tastes good enough you'll never want to use it as one anyway.
