Best before 11/30/07. Pours with a big pocked head with large bubbles. I think this is the closest thing to a colorless beer I've ever seen, by a good margin. The little coloring present is a hazy whiteness. Great lace down the sides of the pint saves the appearance.
Lots of yeast notes, including banana with a little bubblegum. The cocktail of banana, lemony wheat, and coriander smells delicious. Served at warmer-than-fridge temp, it has a potent scent.
Taste is unbalanced, all wacky bubblegum, candi sugar, and spices. Very sweet. Some wheat on the finish, no hops to speak of -- the sweetness overwhelms and stops this from being quenching, although the spices are fine in their own execution.
Mouthfeel is very creamy for how thin this brew is. I'm having a foam party in my mouth. The carbonation is very well done and reinforces an otherwise minimal body (which itself was fine for the style).
Interesting look, interesting taste, interesting mouthfeel. Not sure it all works together. The sweetness is fine but it lacks anything else to complement it. Would recommend to anyone into phenols and esters.
If this beer's appearance was a person it would be whiter than Bill Gates.
