Poured from bottle into a weizen glass. Best by 21 AUG 2011 stamped on bottle.
A: Unfiltered lemon yellow with a bright, white, foamy head that leaves nice lacing.
S: Inviting nose of wheat, banana, coriander, white pepper, and tulips.
T: Wheat and lemon zest up front with a large helping of white pepper and coriander throughout the back half. Leaves a slight peppery burn without drying the mouth.
M: Light-bodied without being watery. Spicy without drying the palate or burning too much. Very balanced and better than others I've tried in this style.
O: This beer executes the witbier style much better than other domestics I have tried. Though not sensational in any one category, a solid performer in all. I'm not a huge fan of the style, but I'll probably pick up sixers of this in the hot summer months.
