22oz bottle filled from the tap at NBB..Thanks Gbontrag!
Pours with light carbonation, clear gold, and a whisp of a white head.
Aromatics lean more in the trippel direction rather than grand cru. Light malt, candi sugar, overtones of honey, and a nod of spicyness.
Tropical fruit and cloves abound, and some light bubblegum.
Mouthfeel is medium to light and slightly slick. Lack of carbonation doesn't help.
The pallet is fruity and warming, with clover honey and a hint of grape jam. Spicing is subdued for a grand cru, with suggestions of cariander and orange peel, but neither stands out.
Finishes with some lingering warmth, citrus fruits, and light residuals.
Somewhat subdued, as I was hoping for a bigger, spicier version, but hey..Tasty nonetheless.
Keep 'em coming!
