Enjoyed this sour beer several times before Sac Brew closed its doors. Tragic day.
A- The beer came in a larger then expected tulip glass. There was a half finger head that fell to a small ring of bubbles around the rim of the glass about half way down. The color was a slightly hazy golden hue. No Lacing.
S- The smell whit not the most intense aroma for a sour, it did have lots of tart granney smith appels. There were notes hay and wheet malt present in the smell.
T- This is a very pleasing Wile Ale. While it may not be the most funky sour it carried its own with notes of moist warm hay and tart apples. Had a pleasing sweet finish.
M- Medium Light weight with appropriate carbonation. Good Dry finish.
O- This beer reminded me of picking unripened apples form the tree as a child and eating them for a sour puckering.
