New Belgium has really nice lables, and great bottles. They're simple and classy.
The beer itself is quite attractive as well. Gold around the edges, and orange in the middle. It has a nice multi-textured head, very much like you'd expect from a trappist. The aroma is somewhat odd, almost like a empty grain silo.
The taste very pleasing. There are several layers of maltiness with a subtle yeast fruitiness at the end of the sip. There's little hop noticable, but enough to start the saliva glands. Its a very complete beer, with a wide variety of flavors. Very nice

22oz bottle served in a Prairie Teku
Thanks to Yoshi Optimator for this one! Cheers!
A - Hazy amber/apricot color with 2 fingers of soapy tan bubbles. Zero lacing with a thin cap.
S - Earthy citrus, acidic, white wine, granny smith apples, sharp sourdough bread, dusty grains, over ripe tropical fruit, pineapple and mango, sweet but funky. Fruity alcohol coming through.
T - Follows the nose with earthy citrus, grainy bread, peppery, old grass, apple juice, muted lemons, dry yeast. There's a hint of acidity, but not as much as the nose describes. The finish brings more pepper along with some bitter melon rind.
M - Annoyingly high carbonation, you can't hold a drink in your mouth for more than 2 seconds or it just completely turns to foam. The body is thin for a split second. So you have extreme opposites.
I'm not exactly sure but pretty sure this is a few years old. An interesting beer for sure. The mouthfeel threw it off a little for me. I'm not a fan of swallowing straight foam. Great aroma. The funk is delicate without being light, very earthy with notes of sourdough bread and tropical fruit.
