Had this on tap at 3 Squares.
Poured into New Belgium Globe Glass.
Pours 1 finger of fizzy off white head. Color is a nice dark copper pumpkin orange. Fades to a ring around the edge. Leaves some rings as well.
Aroma: Lots of pepper and spices. Big barnyard aroma. Some sharp lemon notes. Grassy hops. A nice aroma.
Taste: I am enjoying this already. Lots of spices, pepper, and lemon zest. It has a big barnyard flavor to it. Nice and funky. I am really enjoying this.
Mouthfeel: Smooth, crisp, and refreshing. It is a little dry, but I like it. Light to medium bodied with a decent amount of carbonation. Ends a little dry and spice, but relatively clean.
Overall, this is a wonderful beer. I had a second glass of it since it was so good and drinkable. I am very impressed with NB on this one. I hadn't heard anything amazing about this one, but I thought it was awesome. I think this beer would be even better in the summer.

22oz bottle served in a Prairie Teku
Thanks to Yoshi Optimator for this one! Cheers!
A - Hazy amber/apricot color with 2 fingers of soapy tan bubbles. Zero lacing with a thin cap.
S - Earthy citrus, acidic, white wine, granny smith apples, sharp sourdough bread, dusty grains, over ripe tropical fruit, pineapple and mango, sweet but funky. Fruity alcohol coming through.
T - Follows the nose with earthy citrus, grainy bread, peppery, old grass, apple juice, muted lemons, dry yeast. There's a hint of acidity, but not as much as the nose describes. The finish brings more pepper along with some bitter melon rind.
M - Annoyingly high carbonation, you can't hold a drink in your mouth for more than 2 seconds or it just completely turns to foam. The body is thin for a split second. So you have extreme opposites.
I'm not exactly sure but pretty sure this is a few years old. An interesting beer for sure. The mouthfeel threw it off a little for me. I'm not a fan of swallowing straight foam. Great aroma. The funk is delicate without being light, very earthy with notes of sourdough bread and tropical fruit.
