Poured into a Chimay goblet. I do not get New Belgian beers in my area and a friend brought me a 6-pack of Fat Tire, replacing one of the Fat Tires with this beer...glad he did, wish I had more of these.
A: clear golden yellow color white a nice small white head that dissipated quickly. Nice lacing left on the glass.
S: a hoppy citrusy smell, picked up scents of grapefruit and orange.
T: hop forward beer, but not over done or as big as an IPA. Hint of something fruity there other than the citrus. Had an orange peel aftertaste.
M: well carbonated and light on the tongue with a bit of bitter aftertaste like orange pith.
Overall: surprise. I've only had Fat Tire and I guess used to a malty beer from NB, this was a very nice surprise. Easy drinker and would be an excellent introduction beer to a beginner craft beer drinker.
