Lacks the finesse of some of its counterparts, and even its brother Rampant, but it's fruity, has a nice bit of zing to it despite somewhat subdues hopping.

For a widely available IPA at a more than reasonable price, it's hard to go past when looking for a tasty session beer that won't cost a fortune or leave you too hammered.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle to pint glass.

A: Clear deep golden to light amber. 1 finger of white head that leaves a coating of foam. Medium carbonation.
S: Mainly fruity: Pineapple, peach, a little orange, and some grapefruit rind. Not heavy on the pine. Like Rampant.
T: Very dank, earthy hops that give a flavor I find hard to describe. Nondescript citrus flavors also come through. Malts are not too strong. Not overly sweet. Could use just a bit more bitterness, and a bit more alcohol content.
M: Light side of medium. Nice finish.
O: Strikes me totally as the "little brother" of Rampant. Or vice-versa. It is easier drinking than Rampant, and doesn't suffer from being too sweet. Very nice easy-drinking IPA.

This a solid and very well balances IPA. It splits the difference well between piney and citrusy flavors. This is an IPA you could have several of without experiencing palate fatigue, but it has plenty of flavor as well. A really nice, solid, standard IPA.

Very bitter, it is not for all tastes. To drink on special occasions, accompanying a good cigar.

Very piney in aroma and taste. Quite enjoyable with a nice bite to the carbonation.
Not super expensive which is nice.

I feel like this is a solid go-to if you don't want something
from the more expensive brands.

Another easy to find IPA that doesn't break the bank. New Belgium has only been in my area for the past few years and was strictly stuck on Fat Tire until I branched out. This is probably one of their better beers to me, ready to try Rampant and see what it's all about.

Had a strong metallic aftertaste. It might've been due to the keg. Lots of fruity flavors. Not bad, but I'd try something else before grab I'd grab another one.

Great use of hops. Love the citrusy bitterness from the noticeable amount of cascade and simcoe.

Surprisingly strong grapefruit aroma, strong bitterness, full body, medium complexity, very nice if you like strong IPAs; a positive surprise!

Really enjoyable beer overall, light scents of citrus with much stronger aroma of pine, very pleasent on smell. Look is of a mostly clear amber color. Definite sharp bitter initial tatse that finishes really well. Overall just a genuinely enjoyable ipa, highly recommend

Overall a very good IPA. A light taste for an IPA not too much citrus taste but enough to know what kind of beer. Not the neat of the IPAs but a simple uncomplicated beer.

A - Super clear, yellow golden color, visible carbonation, bright white head, major lacing.

S - Pine resin is front and center, with a mild citric note, lemon and honey hints. Grassy line, as well.

T - Bright resin and lemon drop, a bit of herbal, as well. Close is clean, bright, with a mild bitter bite.

M - Hop bright and crisp. Very clean.

O - A pleasant, bright IPA, with subtle fruit, and a mild malt backbone. Not extraordinary, but quite servicable.

I love Ranger. It's very drinkable and is a great IPA. The hops are smooth and has a light gold appearance. Nice white head gives this beer a refreshing aftertaste.

Clear, light gold appearance with a solid white head. Shows moderate carbonation. Pine and grapefruit aroma with the slightest hint of malt. Flavor is of piney hops with some malt. Some citrus is also present. Light - medium mouthfeel. Smooth. Moderate bitterness. Overall, A good go-to IPA. Easy drinking and satisfying.
