Served in a New Belgium globelet, of course.
A - Clear, golden copper with a densely-packed marshmallow-colored head of nearly 3 fingers. Leaves gorgeous lacing on every inch of the glass as I drink.
S - Fresh, green hops are very noticeable up front, with bready yeast also on hand. The overall bouquet is lacking a bit in strength, though.
T - Pine, pine nuts, and pineapple, with fresh grass clippings, announce the hop profile right away. A mild caramel maltiness provides a bit of balance, but this one's very hop forward overall. Not the strong citrus and floral hops of a west coast IPA, but again, very piney, and to my taste, very unique.
M and D - Mouthfeel is thin-to-medium, but with good support from the carbonation, it sits nicely on the palate. Refreshing, and nicely drinkable.
