Purchased a 6pk while honeymooning in Las Vegas at a Walmart.
Enjoyed out of a standard issue hotel glass (I know but I didn't have anything else!)
A - Pours a semi-transparent amber, red color. A one finger head on the initial pour that quickly faded. Nice gooey lacing left on the glass.
S - A great, classic IPA smell of pine, grapefruit and hops. Very inviting.
T - A really tasty IPA. The beer has all the classic IPA flavors of piney resin, grapefruit and a nice balance between the hops and malt. In my opinion, it is a fine example of an American IPA. The alcohol is well disguised.
M - Nicely carbonated. A bitter aftertaste is left after each sip.
O - This is my first New Belgium beer and I was impressed. Las Vegas is sorely lacking in any type of decent beers (at least in the casino and strip restaurants) so being able to enjoy a few of these after a trip to the pool was great. I would seek out again although I've never seen it in SE PA.
