12 oz bottle.
A: Aggressive side pour into a pint beer mug. Produced a 1 inch head that quickly receded into a sparsely large bubbled surface with lots of tiny bubbles. Very nice lacing sticking to the glass. Very clear. Golden amber color with a slight red tint.
S: Not very strong in the smell department. Faint odor of hops and malt. Something else but I am not quite sure what it is. Maybe slighly burned malt?
T: Taste is good with a balance of hops and malts and maybe a tiny amount of chocolate? Something else there but I can not put my finger on it.
M: Very smooth. A hoppy bite and a nice feel lingering on the back of my tongue.
O: A very interested mature beer. Very nice for this style and rather unique in my humble opinion. The taste is unique to me and it a nice balance of flavors, feel and texture. I would not put this beer at the top of my list but definitely worth trying because it is very unique. Coming from New Belgium, its a mature concoction to be sure. If you dont like all the hops in your face taste that is typical of an AIPA, you should try this beer.
