Picked this up in a mix six.
Poured clear golden into a pint glass. Upon further inspection, it has a copper tint to it, but it crystal clear. A nice, fluffy white head sits a top the beer, with great staying power. If I had no idea what this was, I might have actually pegged it to be a macro lager, because thats exactly what it looks like.
The nose is juicy hops, with a solid sweet malt backbone. You can tell this bottle fairly fresh and the hops are at their peak. So far so good, great smelling IPA.
Tastes about what you would expect, but milder. As soon as the beer hits the palate, a big wave of bitterness hits, along with fruity and grassy hops. About mid palate, everything vanishes into a mild nothingness, but the bitterness comes back in the finish.
About medium in body, with a slow laboring carbonation and a nice bitter bite. Decent lingering bitter aftertaste. Drinkability is excellent, I had no problem finishing this single off and wouldn't see a sixer being a problem.
Overall, not a bad IPA. For the price, I will gladly get this again, as it's a solid example of the style, nothing bold just simple. Good stuff.
