22 oz bottle at 48F poured into a pint glass.
A - Deep gold that is crisp and clear. Respectable head with average retention. Very minimal lacing.
S - Grassy and earthy hops with some citrusy grapefruit as well. No malts in the nose surprisingly.
T - As the nose, grass and mild citrus flavors that quickly give way to bitterness. Hints of biscuit. Beyond that, not much complexity - pretty one-dimensional and not exceedingly great at that. It is a bargain IPA price-wise, but I was expecting/hoping for more.
M - Somewhat thin bodied, just slightly oily. Average carbonation.
D - Easy to drink yet a bit disappointing.
I guess for the price ($2.99 for the bomber) you get what you pay for, but there are surely a lot of other IPAs within $0.50 to $1 that I would gladly pay more to drink instead.
