Great beer in a pint can for $3 @ Argonant on H street in DC! The best ipa deal in the city! IBU 70 & 6.5 etoh. One of my fav beers to driink a lot of. The can is even cute...it reads "we're hoppy" and "you're happy" on each side of the can where the drink hole is.

Bottle poured into a nonic pint glass. Pours a super clear yellow orange. An inch of foamy white head shrinks to cover the top with decent lacing. Aroma is citrus, and mild tropical fruit. Flavor is mild pine, grapefruit, and has a refreshing citrus quality. A somewhat bready malt blends it well. Mouthfeel is thin and a bit sticky. This is a good every day ipa that would be a nice lawn mower beer.

On tap at the brewery...and the Denver airport, and pretty much everywhere I went in Colorado. A solid IPA. Layered and complex hop flavors. Pine, orange, lime, and thyme. Clean, dry malt, a bit of candy-like sweetness. Perhaps slightly undervalued by the beer community since it's not exploding with hops, but it's extremely well crafted, balanced, and flavorful.

Pours lighter than expected with a nice sticky head. Plenty of lacing. Nose is grassy, herbal, and indicative of the bitterness to follow. Taste is bitter, herbal hops with a slight citrus note and something almost vinous. Very little malt to be found. Mouthfeel is bitter and crisp.

Not bad overall, but I'd probably stick to Fat Tire.

Enjoyed this 12oz bottle out of a large snifter glass.

A: Pours a copper hue with a 4-finger white head that slowly dissipates into a solid lace, leaving a nice trail down the glass.

S: Strong hoppy aroma with hints of citrus and pine as the backbone.

T: Great hoppy flavor – not overwhelming but dominate. Slight lemon and pine background mixed with the hops.

M: Medium body and medium carbonation.

O: Excellent IPA. Just the right amount of hops and malt.
