12 oz. bottle poured into a standard pint. Best before May 13, 2012.

A - Pours a totally transparent pale straw color. The initial one finger bright white head dies quickly and leaves a decent, sporadic lacing.

S - HUGE floral hops on the nose. Some underlying "pilsner-like" malt aroma, but mostly floral hops and mandarin orange. Very pleasant.

T - More of the same from the nose. Starts off with lavender floral hops and sweet clementine citrus. Big bitter bite on the finish and some lingering pine hops on the aftertaste. Not much sweetness or malt presence, but also not a huge hop bomb.

M - On the thinner side with light moderate carbonation.

O - Not a terribly complex IPA, but pretty drinkable with good floral and citrus presence. Cheap and decent, but nothing that stands out in the massive world of IPAs.

12 oz bottle served in a pint glass

A - Clear light amber with a 1 finger white head with good retention and minimal lacing.

S - Faint pine and floral hops with a little biscuit malt breadiness.

T - Backbone of pine hops but a little underwhelming. A little sweet malt and bready notes. A hint of booze and minimal bitterness at the finish for an IPA.

M - Medium body, moderate carbonation. Smooth and drinkable.

O - Not the best IPA and pretty weak with the considerable competition among the Coloradan IPAs. Not the best from NB but still a above average brew.

12oz can marked February 19th 2012 poured into a Sam Adams Perfect Pint.

A: Brilliant clear sunset gold with lots of honey and straw tones...pretty decent white head that leaves some lace.

S: Hops are still front and center after all this time...citrus, light pine, some tropical fruit notes, earthiness, some sweet aromas, possibly caramel, biscuit as it warms.

T & MF: Follows the nose, not overly bitter but finishes with a moderate dryness. All the hop characters from the nose are here as well; citrus notes (orange & tangerine), tropical fruit, some astringent notes, light pine, definite caramel, light to light-medium body, medium to low carbonation.

O A pretty harmonious IPA, everything (hops and malts) work well together, impressive with over a year of age on it. I guess the cans really do help to preserve the freshness.

Pours a slightly hazy orange gold color with a massive 2 finger foamy off white head that had tons of bubbles in it and faded very slowly, leaving very good foamy lacing clinging to the sides and rings as it went down – a very good looking beer.

Smells of sweet citrus hops, grapefruit, orange peel, floral hops, grains, tea leaf, biscuit, caramel, pine cone/piney hops, very mild wheat or yeast and a whiff of alcohol; the hops mix well with the malts for very nice IPA balance that allows the sweetness to shine in the nose.

Tastes of citrus hops, grapefruit, orange peel, lemon, floral hops, flowers, herbs, tea leaf, lightly roasted grains, biscuit or wheat bread, caramel, pine cone/piney hops, mild spices like coriander and toast that kicks in right before the mild bitter finish. Hoppy, bready, well balanced and delicious; this went down so easy that it would be a great session IPA if it were readily available on the East Coast.

Mouthfeel is light and creamy, with very mild carbonation that’s thin, a light body that is a little chewy, and real easy flow to it with a mild bitter finish that dries in your mouth leaving an almost clean feeling.

This is not a hop-bomb that attacks your palate, and the bready malts actually play a big part throughout the flavor and make it extremely drinkable as well as hiding the ABV quite well. I had to hold myself back from drinking this too quickly, that’s how smooth it was. Very enjoyable beer that I will seek out again and highly recommend.

12 fl oz brown glass bottle served in a pint glass, reviewed live:

A - Pours a transparent copper golden color with a thin half finger, white head. Pretty generic.

S - Fresh spicy and floral hops dominate. Caramel and candies sugar show too. Smells very well balanced and quite inviting. The freshness if the beer is evident

T - the balance in this beer is phenomenal. It's not an ibu quest like most; rather a balanced, fair attempt at the style. The floral perfumy hops blend with the crystal malt nicely. Property spice is evident as well. It's not ground breaking, but I appreciate it nonetheless.

M - light bodied, crisp and dry. Pretty good.

D - a pretty good beer overall. I'd have it again.

Pours a clear golden amber with a small white head that left a lot of lacing. Very hoppy aroma with pine, citrus, sweet malt, slightly floral and earthy. Flavor has a very strong hoppy bitter leaf bite up front that fades to a mild orange, strong pine and mild caramel malt middle finishing with a pronounced doughy/biscuit ending. Body was modest.
