A: Poured from the bottle into a pint glass. Body is clear coppery-amber with a half-finger khaki-colore head. Plenty of visible carbonation. A decent amount of lace.
S: Some toffee and caramel malt sweetness.
T: Toasty malt, caramel malt and some earthy hop flavors. Finishes clean, though a bit slick in feel.
M: As noted above, there's a bit of diacetyl-like slickness on the finish. Carbonation is modest except for a prickly fizziness on the lips.
O: OK. Craft beer with training wheels - I can see why this would be popular with a big crowd, but it does little to impress other than operate as a good gateway beer.
