A: A dark dark brown that is transparent in the light. The finger-width, brown head gives way after a few minutes
S: A banana scent dominates with some clove and caramel notes in there as well. Smells a lot like NB's Abbey Ale.
T: Tastes like Abbey, too, with the banana taste coming in first. That caramelized sweetness is present as well. There's some extra fruitiness sticking around and the cloves are definitely in there. A tasty, sweet treat.
M: Medium-bodied with an extra carbonation that adds a crispness that lightens it a bit. Not overwhelming in the least. Probably the aspect that differs the most from NB's Abbey.
D: The delicious taste and not overly heavy feel make it very drinkable, maybe too much so for a 9% ABV. You might want to be careful with multiple.

Appearance: Pours pretty dark for the style (more like a porter) but makes up for that with a foamy cap that splashes inordinate amounts of lace around
Smell: Caramel and chocolate-dipped bananas with toasted wheat bread underneath
Taste: Caramel and wheat toast with bananas dusted with chocolate arriving in the mid-palate; after the swallow, peppery yeast phenols start to add complexity though the finish has plenty of caramel and banana
Mouthfeel: Medium to full body; rather creamy, with moderate carbonation
Overall: I suspect most of the bottles of this are long gone by now but I am glad I kept this in the back of the fridge for so long as the alcohol has tempered and it is drinking superbly
