Somersault is honey golden in color with pure clarity and very little carbonation visible. Aroma is light, sweet and tart; tart apricots and peaches, floral hops and a touch of honey sweetness. Quite an intoxicating smell, flowers and apricots is a wonderful combination for summer. Tart is flavorful, varies between fresh apples and apricots, a nice malt backbone and a pleasantly bitter hops finish. Encompasses a wide variety of flavors, quite an impressive beer from New Belgium. Mouthfeel is helped tremendously by the addition of oats to create a solid body for it's flavorful character. Impressively built.
Overall, a great summer beer. Bolder flavors and a bigger body make this a great sessionable brew.
