Rich amber color with a frothy three finger head and a one finger to half finger head retention. Great lacing sticking around the glass. Some carbonation bubbles from the yeast partials found in the ale.
The aroma is a blend of Belgium yeast and fruitiness, yet blended very well with the hop bitterness of an American IPA. Pine notes and citrus as I would expect.
Again the flavor is a great blend of both worlds. The sharp bitterness of American hops blended with with the yeasty bread flavors of a Belgium ale. Finishes a little slick on the tongue with some alcohol sweetness yet has that American IPA dry hop dryness in the end. Medium bodied and easy to drink.
Overall this is an IPA I will always look forward to drink when I want something a little different than the straight forward in you face hopped American IPA. This IPA just gives me some different for a change and does a great job at it!
